Amity University is a private university in India. Established by the non-profit Ritnand Balved Education Foundation in the Indian state of Uttar Pradesh, it has campuses in Noida, Lucknow, Gurgaon, Jaipur, Gwalior and Dubai. The university has an enrollment of over 100,000 students[1] in 240 Degree Programs.

This seat of higher learning came into existence on August 26, 1975, vide Government of Uttar Pradesh Notification No. 10/15-60/74 under the provision of the U.P. Universities Act. However, though belonging to the younger generation of the Indian Universities, the Bundelkhand University has fast transformed into a University of excellence offering opportunities to the aspiring youths to pursue higher education, applied research and Professional training according to their aptitude and potential.

In this backdrop, Mewar Institute of Management & Mewar Law Institute were established by the Mewar Education Society, Delhi, a non profit making body, registered under the Societies Registration Act, 1860, and comprising a group of enlightened academicians, businessmen and industrialists of repute.
